Padmashree Anandhan

Padmashree Anandhan is currently a project associate at the School of Conflict and Security Studies at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bangalore. Her research for the NIAS Europe Studies under the Area Studies initiative focuses on protest movements, conflicts, energy, economic, migration and contemporary political issues in Western Europe and Scandinavian countries.

Her research interests also include ocean governance and maritime conflicts as part of Maritime Studies. She is also the Assistant Editor of the Conflict Weekly of NIAS Conflict Reader under the International Peace Research Initiative which covers peace and conflict issues from South Asia to Latin America. Apart from her research, she also coordinates the NIAS outreach and social media activities.
