The small states such as Iceland, Denmark and Norway have a different outlook towards the Arctic region. They emphasize on climate change, sustainable development, indigenous communities’ rights, knowledge and capacity building, scientific research and infrastructural development.Greenland (Denmark) and Iceland in particular focus on attracting investments, given their relatively weak economies, therefore a gateway to non-Arctic and Asian countries.
India can particularly collaborate with the three countries in the areas of scientific research, establishing more research stations, outer space, academia, renewable and non-renewable energy and trade.
