Anu Maria Joseph

Research Associate, Area Studies-Africa

Anu Maria Joseph is a Research Associate in School of Conflict and Security Studies at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore. She holds masters in Political Science from Madras Christian College, Chennai. As part of NIAS Africa Studies, she looks into internal politics, external relations, peace and conflict, gender and climate issues in Africa. She also coordinates NIAS Conflict Reader under the International Peace Research Initiative.

Her research interests includes ethnic and tribal issues in Africa, peace and conflict in Africa, Afro- European and Afro-China relations.
