The US: NASA invites US citizens and international media to view the Pegasus XL rocket
On 21 May, NASA’s news release on showcasing a mission to boost Swift spacecraft's orbit, invited media to NASA’s Wallops flight facility in Virginia is scheduled for 17 June. The Northrop Grumman’s Pegasus XL rocket is supposedly carrying a Katalyst robotic spacecraft attempting to boost the orbit of NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory. The Swift mission was launched in 2004 which leads NASA’s fleet of space telescopes studying changes in the high-energy universe. There will also be an audio only teleconference hosted on the same day which will be streamed live on NASA's YouTube channel, information on timing is suggested to be disclosed closer to the event. The deadlines on US citizens applicants and international media without US citizenship along with the instructions for media participation is provided on NASA’s site.

India: ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission receives 2026 Goddard Astronautics Award
On 21 May, The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) awarded the 2026 Goddard Astronautics Award to Chandrayaan-3 mission for its Moon landing mission. The Indian Space Research Organisation’s Vikram lander of Chandrayaan- 3 landed on the Moon's surface on August 23, 2023. ISRO highlighted the significance of the recent discovery from the hop experiment that helped scientists to discover details about the layers beneath the Moon’s surface near the lunar pole. The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics presented the honor at the ASCEND 2026 conference on 19 May  India's Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Kwatra, accepted the award on behalf of ISRO.
